Nether proposition
« on: June 16, 2011, 01:40:33 PM »
personally i want the nether to work on our server again.

when we first updated to 1.6 the nether worked really well, portals became obsolete in my opinion (as i simply used a portal to get 1000 blocks
to my destination. nether portals were awesome.

however, they later became buggy, along with maps. everyone got kicked from the server every time they were used. it became cumbersome
to use them.

eventually they failed to work, along with maps, and simply crashed the server, along with corrupting the map- rendering it unusable (hence the many new temp maps if anyone remembers.)

that said: now that maps are working perfectly for us, could we try to activate the nether?
i propose that the admins use a portion of the server resources to test out the nether on, maybe, mc2.madgaming.eu address.
cuz we started a temp map before, maps spontaneously started working so we activated the nether again (to test it). it worked for a bit, but then it corrupted the server again.

again, i propose we test the nether out on a portion of the server.
if anyone has any comments on this, please post a comment.

do you support this? or are against it? etc.
you are a legend and i love you for it
