Gone, but never forgotten.
« on: February 05, 2015, 07:09:36 AM »
Hello all. Sooooo I am sure not everyone will remember me as i wasn't a popular player, but a frequent one. I have kept up a bit with welsh and have spoken to Andy (iRush) a couple times since mad gaming was the best server in the world.... I still do talk to alyson (LadyUberr) every once in awhile but the last i heard was mad gaming was a prison server.. or tried to be. I figured by now, it would be vanished, and forgotten. So i did a quick google search, and BOOM! ITS STILL HERE! So i logged onto the server only to find it empty, it honestly breaks my heart. Madgaming was the first server I ever played on that I liked and continued to stay on. I eventually ventured off and started working on a server with alyson, then I decided to start my own which became somewhat successful with a player count of 20-30 daily players and sometimes being full of 40 players. To make a long story short, a bunch of crooks shut it down and stole it... leaving me abondoning minecraft for about a year and a half. I have been back for a couple months and now I am here.

Back to mad gaming.... It really does make me sad knowing how successful this server was and seeing it now, empty. I love that all the players on the forums are the same from years and years ago and everyone has stuck around. Here are my opinions on the current server, not here to create any trouble, I (and everyone else) would just like to see mad gaming back off the ground. When i joined, i was quite disappointed at the spawn. Yes, I do love this spawn, and it brings back memories, BUT the only thing this spawn will do is bring back all the old players. New players now a days like compact spawns, with shops all together, instead of walking building to building to get what they need. With the release of item frames and plugins like showcase, players don't like to have to read each sign to find their items. And finally, with the release of enchantments, potions, gold and god apples, players love to pvp. So the easier it is to get to a pvp area, the better. I understand this server is survival so some of my points are invalid, but if you are going to create a pvp / factions server, a more compact spawn would be much nicer.

I didn't come to hurt anyones feelings, because i do love the current (old) spawn but it is just that - old. If mad gaming is going to be successful again then you need to turn it up a notch and give the players what they are looking for. I do hope to see mad gaming up and running again with a healthy player list, and I would be more than happy to begin playing again. The mad gaming staff has some OUTSTANDING builders, and very intelligent staff backing this server. Becoming the top server can be done again, you just have to adjust, and give the players what they want, but with that mad gaming touch.

MadGaming has a bright future head of them, just need to open the door.

I'll be around,
